This Common Behavior Zaps Brain Power

Recent research has found that one very common daily activity significantly zaps brain function. We all do it.  As incredible as the human brain is, it has a tough time focusing on two demanding tasks simultaneously. When we interrupt one thought pattern for another one, it creates stress 
which generates cortisol.  This increase in cortisol makes it harder for the prefrontal cortex – the rational, thinking brain that weighs actions against consequences – to do it’s job effectively.
